A Beastly Night

The veil betwixt worlds is thin tonight
Whether you revel in street- or star-light,
Whether you gather at party or coven instead,
Whether you dress up or honor the dead.

Whether you think this night is for fun,
Or keep it as a sacred one,
The Beasts wish you a night of the Beastliest mien:

"O Blessed Samhain!
And Happy Hallowe'en!"

Introducing Whimsy

Whimsy is a gentle, beauty-loving Beast.

She was deeply traumatized by what she witnessed in Hurricane Irene.

Burlie found his old friend wandering in the devastation.

Trolls can be tender with those they love.

Of course he invited her to come live with us.

She gratefully accepted.

It has taken her several weeks, but the love of her friends, and the beauty all around, has helped her be herself again.

She not only appreciates the abundance we share. She is sensitive to those who have lost. And she wants to help

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you want to help Whimsy help farmers who lost their crops (and some, their entire farms!) in Hurricanes Irene and Lee, this is one way.
Leaf Lessons from Yolanta
Yolanta says leaves:
have much to tell us, if we listen,
much to show us, if we look.
Change
Change is inevitable.
See?
So why fear? Celebrate!
Savor each moment, each stage.
Whether you are:
fresh and green
or
tinged with wisdom and bearing fruit,
or
in full blaze of your glory
Celebrate.
Age can be beautiful.
Burlie Bugged
Burlie might deal with this very differently...
...if friend-to-all Friend weren't around.
Beasts are loyal to friends, no matter what.
Even if sometimes they must keep their mouths shut.
GRAPES!
Friend and Burlie found GRAPES!
Awright!
Friend was faster.
He got to the Others first.
He could hardly WAIT for Burlie to catch up.
So they could all SHARE!
Burlie got there in his own good time. You can't rush a Troll.
Sheesh!
Yolanta said these were Champagne grapes. She pronounced them very fine.
Paradoxy agreed!
So did Friend.
Yolanta  said that if they found more grapes, she would teach them how to make wine.
Burlie LIKED that idea!
Especially when he learned it involved STOMPing!
And he set out right away!
The Beasts remind us to savor the wine
And all the other fruits of the vine.
